NO SNOWBIRD HERE - Slate-colored Juncos are sometimes called snowbirds because they show up in yards and at feeders in winter. We have Juncos all year - this one with, its brown coloring, is probably a youngster - pecking around under the feeder.

HEE HEE - A male Eastern Towhee (we always called them Rufous-sided Towhee) back to grab seeds from the open feeder tray.

FIGHT NIGHT - Tom Turkeys fight it out for dominance and to secure mating rights in the flock. The dominant Tom gets the pick of the females.

ON THE HUNT - A Great Blue Heron hunts on Island Pond. Female Herons are on the nest and the male Herons hunt on area ponds and bring food back to the nest.
