QUEEN ANNE'S LACE bloom is my annual reintroduction to the Fibonacci sequence. It is a sequence in which each element is the sum of the two elements that precede it (1,2,3,5,8,13,21). It reflects a fundamental mathematical pattern that frequently appears throughout nature, art and science. It is demonstrated in the spiral seed arrangement in pinecones and sunflowers, in Nautilus shells and in plant bloom arrangements, like Queen Anne's Lace.
