WOODY PAIR - A pair of Wood Ducks exhibit extreme dimorphism - where the male and female birds look very different from each other.

BRIGHT SPOT ON A SNOWY DAY - A male Cardinal waits out an April snow squall in the cover of a Hydrangea bush.

HUH? - My POTD Archive and our Facebook Memories document that April snowfall is not unusual in southern New Hampshire- but NOBODY likes it.

WINGING IT - A Great Blue Heron flies up to a perch above it's nest on the beaver pond. Herons have a 6-7 foot wingspan and stand up to 4 feet tall. Herons favor nesting on beaver ponds - as the branches of the dead trees over standing water make for good nest platforms.
