WARM WELCOME - Female Great Blue Heron welcomes her mate back to the nest. Herons are pairing up on nests at the beaver pond.

AND THEN IT SNOWED - Our Daffodils were about to bloom when we got five inches of heavy, Spring snow. April snow is not uncommon for southern New Hampshire - but not many people (or flowers) like it! ;-)

RABBIT EARS - We get a glimpse of the Eastern Cottontail Rabbit in our garden every now and then. Usually not a very good look - but we love having a bunny out there hiding the eggs for Easter.

FACE PLANT - A Chickadee buries it's head in the bird bath water during an April snow squall. Chickadees are regular bird bath drinkers - but I never see them put their entire head into the water. Could it be it is just tired of snow/winter? Everyone else is!
