LOOKIN' HER OVER - A turkey hen walks in front of three ogling Toms. These three Toms brought a harem of more than 20 hens into the yard.

BEAVER MOON OVER THE BEAVER POND - The Beaver Full Moon, at 96% illumination, rises over New Ipswich Mountain above the beaver pond Thursday evening. The Beaver Moon - at total full moon Friday night - is the last Super Moon of the year.

LUNCH MUNCH - A beaver munches twigs in shallow water on the beaver pond. I watched it swim the length of the beaver pond dragging a long limb, stop mid-swim to munch on some twigs then finish dragging the branch to the lodge.

JUST ONE EVENING - The Evening Grosbeaks we spotted were apparently just passing through - as we have not seen them again.

FISHIN' - A Belted Kingfisher hunts from a perch on the beaver pond. This Kingfisher sports the rusty breast-band that identifies it as a female - unusual in the bird world for the female to have the identifying bit of extra color.
