OCEAN SUN - We got off the hill for a drive to the New Hampshire coast. Always nice to have the sun over the ocean.

BUSY BEAVERS - Living up to their reputation - the beavers were busy on the beaver pond today. While one beaver took load after load of mud to patch the top of the lodge -
Two smaller beavers made repeated trips to the shore to drag branches with twigs back to submerge near the lodge for food after the beaver pond is frozen.

GETTING TO KNOW YOU - We've been seeing this young female Red-bellied Woodpecker foraging the crevasses in the bark on a big maple tree. We like it when we think we are seeing the same individual birds.

LOTS OF CHICK-ADEES - The flock of Chickadees in our yard is emptying the feeders EVERY day. There is either more of them - or they are eating double time and stashing. Hey guys, we won't stop feeding you when it gets cold ;-)
