GOT A JUMPER - One of the turkeys hanging under the bird feeders in the yard has learned to jump and bump the feeder to get seeds to fall. She gets pretty good height.

BEE BALM BEE - Bee Balm, Monarda, is beloved for its ability to beckon bees, butterflies and hummingbirds to the garden. Bee Balm also earns rave reviews for its mosquito repelling qualities. For many insect-deterring plants to work, you have to crush the leaves or blooms to release the plant's volatile oils.Bee Balm is the exception to that rule.

BLOOMING HOUSE BOAT - A tiny spider finds a home on a Fragrant Water-Lily on the beaver pond.

NOT QUITE YET - A Heron chick tests its wings in the nest - not quite grown up enough to fly. Chicks from some of the other nests on the beaver pond are flying - maybe making these younger birds envious.
