CARTER CAMPAIGN - I photographed Jimmy Carter during a campaign stop in Evansville, Indiana in 1976. He went on to defeat Gerald Ford to be elected for his only term as President.

FOGGY ISLAND POND - Unseasonably warm temperatures came in behind the coldest temps of the year to set up a couple of really foggy days in our neighborhood.

ONWARD THROUGH THE FOG - It may have been the anthem for a generation of hippies and a reminder of the Fleetwood Mac album Bare Trees- but yesterday it was our weather in New Hampshire.

LARGEST WOODPECKER - We see lots of woodpeckers - Downy, Hairy and Red-bellied - but we mostly hear the largest of our woodpeckers - the Pileated Woodpecker. Vic heard this one before we spotted it at the very top of a tall pine snag, catching the first rays of sunshine of the day.
