CARTER CAMPAIGN - I photographed Jimmy Carter during a campaign stop in Evansville, Indiana in 1976. He went on to defeat Gerald Ford to be elected for his only term as President.

My heart broke for Jimmy Carter when the hostage crisis dragged on and on... He carried the weight of that burden with dignity and grace. The way this man held steadfastly to his faith and hope for humanity set the perfect example of a true public servant. Remember after the inauguration when he and Roslyn took to the streets and walked home from the Capitol Building? Thrilling! Thanks for taking this picture and thanks for sharing it!

You shot Jimmie Carter in 1976 and he still lived to be 100 years old.

The contrast between President Carter and whatever we will experience in 2025 couldn't be more stark. The more I learn about the man the more I admire him. Thank you for a year of photos and Happy New Year to you and Vicki. See you around the hood.
