POTD 11/20/25
CHICKADEE CHOMPS spruce seeds. It is quiet at the bird feeders and at the beaver pond this time of year. Lots of little birds working the edge of the yard.

RED HEADED STRANGER is actually a male Red-bellied Woodpecker - even with his bright red head. We don't have Red-headed Woodpeckers in southern New Hampshire, so it is hard not to think of this guy as red headed.

FIRST ICE - Cold enough for ice on the brook from the beaver pond. I'm calling winter is here!
