NO BEAR - This young Black Bear came looking to raid the bird feeders at 9AM. Bears would typically be scouting for bird feeders left out overnight. This young bear tried for a daylight raid - and was caught and sent running before it could do any damage to the feeders.

ORANGE YOU GLAD we buy oranges. A male Downy Woodpecker eats oranges from a suet feeder. All the woodpeckers that come to our feeders have had baby woodpeckers that they have taught to eat oranges and suet. We have both on the same maple tree (have for many years) and the woodpeckers are eating an orange every day (more than usual).
