HERE FOR MAGNOLIA - A male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker works on a Magnolia tree. Sapsuckers especially like Magnolia trees with smooth bark (like this white Magnolia) that they drill rows of sap holes in and drink the sap and eat insects attracted to the sap holes. Other birds also take advantage of the holes the Sapsuckers drill.
