COLORFUL WOODY - The male Wood Duck is the most striking of the waterfowl that return to rivers and ponds in New England in the Spring. This Woody was with his mate on the Contoocook River in Peterborough, NH. The Contoocook is one of only a few rivers that flow in a predominantly northward direction.
