POTD 3/18/26
ONLY THE BEST - We feed our birds well - a price I am willing to pay for using the birds as frequent POTD subjects - and we mail ordered expensive mealworms to attract Bluebirds. We have found that most of the birds visiting the feeders prefer the mealworms - as this White-breasted Nuthatch makes a feeder exit with a mealworm meal. (we did get Bluebirds ;-)

So interesting! My mom bought meal worms awhile back and none of her birds would touch them, so she gave them to me and mostly mourning doves ate them, but the other birds dabbled. You must have really good ones! Or just birds who are used to you having the good stuff, so they trust it. Mine are very suspicious whenever I add something new, and take a long time to eat it.
