It would be so neat to see something like this forming in timelapse. Do you think it forms like that, or it forms more uniformly, and then melts into that? It looks distinctly like bubbles were melting their way out, but it must have been water, I would think. Or maybe air currents, between the water and the ice? The moss melted its own way out too, but in a very different pattern. So much to learn in just one little artful scrap of ice!
