POLLINATOR WEEK - Congress established mid-June's National Pollinator Week in 2007 - recognizing that pollinators help to produce one out of every three bites of food produced in the United States. Without pollinators - especially native bees - humans and wildlife would be in trouble. My tribute to bees - the most ecologically important species of all - is this pollen-laden Bee on blooming Mountain Laurel. (Source - Harris Center Nature Almanac)

I agree. My lawn is 'patchy' because I avoid mowing the wildflowers. Nice photo.
