POTD 5/15/25
SQUIRREL MUNCHIES - A Red Squirrel munches Samaras (the seed helicopters from maple trees) in our yard. We think of Squirrels as eating only nuts - but they are carnivores and will eat meat and plants...but seem to be enjoying the abundance of maple seeds in the tree this year.

Fun to watch but a constant battle to keep them away from the feeders.
