BUNNY SIGHTING - We don't see many Bunnies in our woods - not sure why - so we were excited to see one in the patio garden. We have read that Eastern Cottentail Rabbits have been introduced into the New England Cottentail Rabbits home range and now outnumber the New England Cottentails. And since it is nearly impossible to tell the difference between them - we don't know which kind we saw. Rabbits eat twigs and buds when snow covers their preferred food - grass. The rabbit in our garden munched pretty much everything sticking out of the snow.

I have the same situation. My blueberry bushes are suffering but that's OK. They now are eating the bark off willow shoots.

We never see rabbits in our little field or forest, but just today, we saw the tracks. Maybe someday. Good shots.

Interesting in the 36 years I've lived here I haven't seen cottontail in my woods but I have seen a snowshoe.
