NEW IN THE HOOD - A White-throated Sparrow pecks in the leaves off the patio. White-throated Sparrows are winter visitors - down from Canada for the "mild" winters in New Hampshire.

Oh my!! This is a great picture -- I can always hear these sweet birds in my woods, but can NEVER NEVER see them. Their coloring is such good camouflage in the trees they can hide in plain sight, but their distinctive song lets you know they coming through for the winter! Thanks so much for posting this one!!
