PINE SISKIN - A Pine Siskin on a spent Azalea bloom.  We have seen more Siskins this year than usual - probably due to availability of the kind of seeds they prefer in their typical habitat. Movements of birds to different locations are called irruptions and bring new birds for us to watch.

Nice shot. Getting a bird to pose isn't easy. and doing it during an irruption more so.
