NOT SO FUNNY NOW - Ronald and Nancy Reagan during a campaign stop in Indiana in the early 1980's. I photographed Reagan several times, starting while he was governor of California and during his Presidency. His years as the 40th President from 1981 to 1989 was the time I was a full-time photojournalist in southern Indiana and photographing the President was always exciting. Reagan's Wikipedia page called him one of the most prominent conservative figures in American history - in a recent op-ed piece in the NY Times his daughter Patti contrasted her father to politicians in the G.O.P. today.
