POTD 7/26/22
BIG BIRD - We got off the hill today for an appointment and spotted our friend, the "Greenville Eagle", hunting from a perch over the Souhegan River.

OH! how great to have a "resident" Eagle... the last time I kayaked, we had an "Eagle escort" playing hide and seek with us for nearly a quarter of a mile! Then s/he swooped toward us, just over our heads and flew upstream; we think to the nest of hatchlings. I'd never seen an Eagle that close up before! the under-belly feathers were a beautiful cream color and so thick -- and that WINGSPAN! Just breathtaking!
