BACK FOR THE SEASON - Rose-breasted Grosbeak is back - right on schedule. Grosbeaks are highly migratory nesting across the US and Canada and wintering in Central America. About 19 percent of the world's bird species migrate every year. Migrants are able to nest in areas with reduced competition and a burst of abundant food making the migration trip worth the effort.

OH! I had Grosbeaks at my feeder for the first time ever about 2 weeks ago... Wonder if your pic is of one of my birds??!! They are so beautiful -- stayed around about 3 days; haven't seen them since.
