DUDE WITH THE SNOOD - Male Turkey showing his drooping snood. A snood is a fleshy protuberance above a male turkey's bill that can, in some cases, hang down and cover the bill. It seems the Winter Solstice and longer days have the male turkeys thinking about mating and this turkey's snood (and bright red bow tie) may be giving his thoughts away.
