SNOWBIRD - Slate-colored Junco digs seeds from the snow. Juncos are mostly ground feeders, scratching around under bird feeders. In colder months the Juncos travel in flocks from evergreen forests to backyards all over the U.S., getting the nickname snowbirds - as they seem to bring snowy winter weather with them.
