TICKLEWEED? - False Hellebore coming up on the edge of the beaver pond catches fallen maple blossoms. False Hellebore, Veratrum viride, is toxic to animals - and may be the reason it has come to be known by so many names in it's native range, including Indian Poke, corn-lily, Poor Annie, devils bite, itch-weed and tickleweed.
