GOOD CATCH - Robin snags a grub worm on his hunt in the yard. A hunting Robin moves in short bursts across the ground - running or hopping forward, often cocking its head to one side like they are listening for worms.  Actually they are aiming one eye to watch the grass and soil for signs of activity. When they see the signs that a worm is near the surface, they lunge forward stabbing into the soil and gripping the worms in their bill.

Very impressive, not only your photography skill, but knowledgable of your subjects!

Caught at precisely the right moment. And such a sharp image. I feel like I could reach out and touch this very robin. Incredible, Paul!
