LET'S TRY THESE BABIES OUT - Recently feathered Heron chick does some practice wing flaps in the nest. Heron chicks are born nearly naked and are a couple of weeks old before they have many feathers. It is common for Heron eggs to hatch asynchronously resulting in chicks of different sizes. This one seems to have a head start on his sibling.
