POTD 11/25/20
THREAT DISPLAY - When threatened by an intruder, such as this chipmunk, nuthatches often stand their ground, spreading both wings and swaying back and forth. This makes them look bigger and also reveals an unusual dark and light pattern that might suggest a face. The bluff did not seem to scare this chipper away.
