MY LITTLE CHICKADEE - Chickadees that live in winter climates are very diligent about storing food for winter. A single Chickadee can store up to a thousand seeds a day for retrieval later. This strategy is called scatter hoarding, as the birds tuck food away in any crevice where it will fit...and incredibly, can remember where each food item is stored.
