CUTE CHICKS - The Turkey chicks were in the yard again...and these two seemed to be looking for direction for what to do now?

ANT BOTHER ME! - An ant on the Hummingbird feeder...does not distract the female Hummingbird.

A TRUE FROG - We like frogs - and have a little landscape pond to attract them. One of our favorite frogs is the Pickerel Frog - which the Audubon Field Guide to New England said is in the True Frog Family. There is also a Treefrog Family and then there is the Toad Family.

BORING - The only Heron chick left in the nest appears to yawn as it continues to sit in the nest after it's parents and siblings have left.

HUMMINGBIRD MOTH - While on the watch for Hummingbirds to visit the blooming flowers in the pollinator garden - we occasionally spot a Hummingbird Moth, like this one at a Bee Balm bloom. Members of the Sphinx Moth family, they hover at flowers like a hummingbird probing with their long, flexible proboscis.
