SAME STUFF, DIFFERENT DAY - There is something monotonous about winter...Ice and snow with not much wildlife moving around, The ice on the brook from the beaver pond can usually catch my attention.

TRACKS - I'm much better at animal ID when I can get a photo of it - but I think these are coyote tracks on the frozen, snow-covered beaver pond.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY A.J. FOYT - Legendary racing driver A.J. Foyt had his 90th Birthday yesterday. I photographed Foyt at the Indianapolis 500 from the 1970s - 1990. Foyt was known to work on his own race car - something no other Indy drivers did. He drove in the Indy 500 for 35 consecutive years, winning it four times - the first of only four to have done so.

ODD ICE - Tiny ice spikes all around large air bubbles in the ice on the beaver pond. Google suggested that the spikes are from air trapped in the bubbles which escapes through the ice. Odd indeed!
