ALSO ON THE BEAVER POND -  A female Belted Kingfisher made me look up from the non-stop beaver activity on the beaver pond.

STOCKING UP - The beavers are working pretty much non-stop, bringing branches to the lodge. They submerge branches with the twigs they eat under the water near the lodge - so when the beaver pond is frozen, they have access to those branches and the food they provide.

WET HEAD - I'm not sure the Chickadee liked the rain - but we really needed it. The area was officially in drought, so even a little rain is welcome!

OCEAN SUN - We got off the hill for a drive to the New Hampshire coast. Always nice to have the sun over the ocean.
