GRACKLES BACK - Migrating Common Grackles are back. The large, strong and aggressive birds sometimes have a bad reputation for disruptive behavior at the feeders - but it does not have to detract from their iridescent splendor.

CREEPY, AGAIN - The small, camouflaged Brown Creeper is a regular visitor - but hard to spot and known for swiftly climbing up trees to fly to the base of another tree - so hard to photograph. We love the little fella - and try for a photo every time it is around.

OH, DEER! - Deep, crusty snow is making it difficult for the deer. Three beautiful, young deer were hanging out on the edge of our yard, waiting for a chance to sneak in to lick up the bird seed we put out for the turkeys that visit our yard every day..
